Change your app PIN

If you've set up a 6-digit app PIN in addition to your device's security, we recommend periodically changing it.

  1. Log in to the 1800MEDICARE app

    Open the 1800MEDICARE app, select Log in.

  2. Select a record

    Choose the record you want to access. This could be your record or someone you care for.

  3. Select the profile icon

    In the top right corner of your screen, select the profile icon.

  4. Select 'Manage pin'

    Under App preferences, select Manage PIN and enter your current app PIN.

  5. Select 'Change pin'

    Enter a new PIN, then enter it again to confirm.

    Your PIN should:

    • not be easily guessed (e.g. not your birthday)
    • not contain consecutive numbers (e.g. 5, 6, 7, 8)
    • have no more than 2 repeated numbers
