Digital Enablement for Diagnostic Imaging Services Offer
The Australian Digital Health Agency (the Agency) was established by the Australian Government in July 2016 to drive digital health for the Australian community. We are working with the Australian community, clinicians, researchers and industry to connect people and their clinicians, and ultimately, to improve health and care in our community. This year we are focusing on connecting people and information from general practice, community pharmacy, diagnostic imaging, pathology and hospitals.
We recognise the importance of consumers and health care providers having access to diagnostic information to support the transfer of care between healthcare settings.
The Australian government has now announced that it intends to “...ensure every Australian has a My Health Record, unless they prefer not to.” The Agency is now working to provide access for all Australians to a My Health Record by 30 June 2018.
In order for diagnostic imaging providers to be able to participate with the My Health Record we want to partner with radiology information system software providers to enhance their products to allow viewing and uploading to the My Health Record system.
Extension of EOI deadline to Friday 7 July, 5:00PM AEST for diagnostic imaging offer
The Australian Digital Health Agency (the Agency) has amended the diagnostic imaging and pathology services offers in response to recent feedback from industry representatives to ensure we can help as many organisations as possible to take advantage of the offer. We will therefore extend the deadline for lodging EOIs by two weeks, to Friday 7 July at 5pm (AEST).
To accelerate this work, you are invited to consider applying for funding under a Diagnostic Imaging Software Industry Partnership Offer, as set out in the information below.
