Division overview

Policy programs and engagement – responsible for informing policies, managing external stakeholder relationships, and being the place of excellence for driving program delivery, reporting and outcomes.

Primary purpose of position

As the Manager Portfolio Governance and Support, you will be responsible for ensuring projects and programs across the portfolio comply with the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) standards and procedures and drive the bedding-in of the Project Portfolio Management Framework (PPMF), processes and tools.

The position will provide guidance and support to stakeholders in the end-to-end delivery of programs and projects, including the provision of strategic advice, problem solving and issues management in relation to complex and potentially sensitive matters.

In addition, the Manager Portfolio Governance and Support, will manage a team building a team culture that fosters high performance, providing feedback and identifying development opportunities.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience with overseeing and providing guidance to transformational projects and programs
  • Demonstrated ability to work within tight deadlines, budget constraints and competing priorities

Qualification

  • Tertiary qualifications in health or project/program/portfolio management, or relevant experience in EPMO within a public sector environment
  • Program and project management certification in Prince2, PMBOK, MSP, Agile or related methodology

Essential Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance at a level designated by the Agency on request
  • Australian Citizenship is a condition of eligibility
  • Ability to obtain and maintain national police check.
