Bav is a currently the State Clinical Director of the Queensland Health Covid-19 Vaccination Taskforce and Vaccine Command Centre. He has previously held other medical administration roles in Queensland and is a RACMA Medical Administration Candidate having previously trained as a Radiology and General Surgery Registrar. He is a well-regarded systems and strategic thinker and understands the need and benefit of strong corporate and clinical governance in complex health systems. He works to improve the quality and safety of healthcare to people in Queensland by leveraging digital tools to help with efficient and safe delivery of healthcare. He has a particular interest in leveraging digital capabilities to diminish the gap in healthcare access between rural/regional and metropolitan populations. He has a strong grounding in corporate governance and risk management and is a director of the Australian Medical Association, Chair of doctorportal Learning; a company aimed at providing free online CPD to specialists and non-specialists alike and QUEST; a Clinical Research Collaborative.
