Edit healthcare services
Healthcare services describe the specific services that you provide at a particular location. You create a separate healthcare service for each type of service (such as General Practice service, Podiatry service, Paediatric service) that you provide. Practitioners can be attached to multiple healthcare services.
Summary of steps to edit your Healthcare Services:
- From the Your Organisations screen, click on the corresponding Healthcare Service (next to the healthcare service icon).
- Click on the Edit Healthcare Service button at the top right of the screen.
- In the Service Details section, click in the Service Type field and type to search for the service type. (Note: the Name of Healthcare Service will be automatically populated).
- Select the checkbox to confirm if this healthcare service is active or not.
- (Optional) In the corresponding fields, search for and add or remove: Healthcare service languages, service provision conditions and eligibility requirements for this service..
- In the Are appointments required for this service field, select: Yes, No, or Unknown.
- Select checkbox for ‘This service is also delivered virtually , such as by phone or online’ if applicable.
- In the Contact section, enter the contact details for the healthcare service or copy contact information from location. If your phone number and/or email address is unavailable or needs to be suppressed, you can select these options.
Note: Contact details are used by the public and other healthcare providers to contact the service - do not include any personal or non-business phone numbers.
- In the Postal Address section, enter the postal address for the healthcare service.
- In the Service Availability section, you can: add, edit or delete normal operating hours, public holidays and special operating hours.You can copy service availability information from another Healthcare service (only available if another Healthcare Service has been previously added), or select the checkbox of “I don't wish to publish availability information for this service”.
- In the Referral Details section, you can add, edit or delete referral methods and referral information for consumer and practitioner audience. Note: You may also select the checkbox for “Include referral information for practitioner audience only” if this information is for practitioners only and not consumers.
- Once complete, click on the Update Healthcare Service button.
Detailed steps:
Step 1
From the Your Organisations screen:
1. Click on the corresponding Healthcare Service (next to the healthcare service icon)
Step 2
1. Click on the Edit Healthcare Service button at the top right of the screen
Step 3
1. In the Service Details section, click in the Service Type field and type to search for the service type.
Note: The Name of Healthcare Service will be automatically populated (editable)
2. Select the checkbox to confirm if this healthcare service is active or not

Step 4
In the corresponding fields, search for and add or remove:
1. one or more languages
2. one or more service provision conditions applying to this service
3. one or more eligibility requirements applying to this service
In the Are appointments required for this service field.
4. Select from the drop-down list either Yes, No or Unknown
Step 5 (optional)
Select/deselect
1. This service is also delivered virtually, such as by phone or online.

Step 6
In the Contact section
1. Copy contact information from location or
2. Enter/edit the contact details for the healthcare service.
Note: These details are used by the public and other healthcare providers to contact the service – do not include any personal details such as phone numbers.

Step 7
1. In the Postal Address section, enter/edit the postal address for the healthcare service.
Step 8
In the Service Availability section, you can:
1. Select the checkbox “I wish to publish availability information for this service”.
2. Select the checkbox “I don't wish to publish availability information for this service”.
3. Select to copy service availability information from another Healthcare service (only available if another Healthcare Service has been previously added); or
4. Add, edit or delete normal operating hours; and/or
5. Add, edit or delete public holidays and/or
6. Add, edit or delete special operating hours.
Step 10
1. In the Referral Details section, you can add, edit or delete referral methods by selecting from the dropdown
2. You can also add, edit or delete referral information for consumer and practitioner audience. When published to Business Partners such as online clinical directories these details are made publicly available.
Note: You may also select the checkbox for “Include referral information for practitioner audience only” if this information is for practitioners only. When published, these details are available only to healthcare provider audiences.

Step 11
1. Once complete, click on the Update Healthcare Service button
