Download the 1800MEDICARE app

Before setting up the 1800MEDICARE app, you will need:

  1. a My Health Record
  2. to link your My Health Record to myGov
  3. a supported smartphone device: Apple iOS15 and above, or Android 9 and above

The 1800MEDICARE app is supported on smartphones and tablets. Older devices can support the app but some functions may not be available.

  1. Visit your app store

    Search for "1800MEDICARE" in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to download.

    Turn on automatic app updates to ensure you get the latest features, bug fixes and security improvements without needing to update it manually.

  2. Link My Health Record to myGov

    Before you open the app and set it up, you need to ensure you have My Health Record linked in myGov.

  3. Get started

    Open the app on your device and select Get started and follow the prompts.
