Peter is a well-respected and noted expert in systems thinking, digital health innovation, data governance and change management in general practice. His experience as a leading GP in regional health associations has led to the development of digital tools that support coordinated and integrated care, the quadruple aim, as well as data analytics and mapping (GIS) tools to support CQI in general practice and population health management system. He was also Clinical Lead for the National McKinsey Diabetes Care Project (2012-2015) and Clinical Governance Lead for the National eHealth Transition Authority (2008-2016). He is keen to see greater interoperability within Digital Health ecosystems (including AI and medical devices), and to use these to expand the scope and cost-effectiveness of primary health care to optimise people’s health and wellbeing. Peter is a part-time general practitioner in private practice and a Public Health Physician, as well as a GP Academic Tutor at Flinders University School of Medicine. Prior to Medicine he worked in Federal and State Government Health ICT.
