Dr Tanya Kelly is currently Deputy Director-General, Queensland Health, leading the eHealth Queensland Division. She leads the digital health strategic vision for Queensland’s public health system in support of broader health system reforms. She is an experienced digital leader and active senior clinician, who has held senior digital health and clinical leadership roles throughout her career. Dr Kelly is a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA), she is the immediate past Chair of the Queensland Clinical Senate, a peak body that provides strategic clinician and consumer led advice to Queensland Health. She has qualifications in clinical redesign, business and is a Certified Health Informatician (CHIA). Dr Kelly is also a member of the Australian E-Health Research Centre Board and the Australian Digital Health Agency Board.  

Dr Kelly recognises that digital health is not only critical to the day-to-day safe functioning of our health system, but also a key change driver. She is passionate about ensuring digital health amplifies innovation into the future through whole of system foundations. Dr Kelly is also an advocate for the broader collaboration needed across the ecosystem, particularly alignment with the national digital health agenda in addressing system-wide challenges and opportunities.
