CHIA continuing professional development (CPD) points
Participants that successfully complete both the online and virtual trainer-led components are eligible to receive 20 CPD points (competency points) as part of the CHIA Australian Health Informatics Recertification program for this particular training. Users must be registered members with CHIA to receive CPD points. If you are not yet a CHIA member, Click here for more information on gaining certification.
It is not necessary to be a CHIA member to undertake the training.

Learning Outcomes
On completing this course participants will be able to:
- Navigate the FHIR specification and explain how it is organised
- Create, retrieve and update resources on a FHIR server
- Complete simple searches with sorting and paging
- Using terminology operations to find and validate codes
- Validate a resource, diagnose, and fix validation errors.

Prerequisites
This course requires sound knowledge of JSON and XML in order to fully participate. If you do not have this knowledge, please undertake online training to ensure you are proficient in both, prior to registering for training.
