Advancing care for all Australians
From improving access to care to providing real-time health insights, technology is empowering Australians to take more control of their health and wellbeing. Our team recently travelled to Santa Teresa in the Northern Territory to see how technology is advancing care for Australians in regional and remote areas.
Have you been to Broken Hill?
This city in the far west region of outback is listed on the National Heritage List and is Australia's longest running mining town. It’s also home to the Keenan family, whose daughter lives with Type 1 diabetes.
📰 See how they’re using technology to support her in this article, written in collaboration with Guardian Australia.
Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia
The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia has taken to the skies with the latest in stroke detection technology, in collaboration with the Australian Stroke Alliance and technology company EMVision Medical Devices.
The device, a portable lightweight RF scanner, will have the capability to diagnose the type of stroke a patient is having, opening the door for quicker triage, transfer and treatment decisions by health professionals and ultimately increasing the chance of a successful recovery.
