SNOMED CT-AU and Australian Medicines Terminology January 2022 Release

The National Clinical Terminology Service (NCTS) is pleased to announce that the January release of SNOMED CT®‑AU[1] and the Australian Medicines Terminology (AMT) is now available to registered users from the NCTS website.
The latest Release Note and all release files (RF2 bundle, reference sets) can be downloaded from the ACCESS tab.
Important Information
SNOMED CT-AU Change Reports, CSV
Two new custom CSV files were released in October. They contain the concept changes (deltas) between the latest SNOMED CT-AU release and the one prior in an easy to use human readable format. These files can assist organisations in their terminology maintenance or updates.
The Concept Changes CSV File lists new and retired concepts, along with their preferred terms. The Associations CSV File lists retired or changed concepts (along with their preferred terms), reasons for the change, and suggested replacements.
Both files include the SNOMED CT-AU and Australian Medicines Terminology modules, which can be used to filter content as required.
Note: if there are no changes for the month, only the header row will appear in the file.
You can access these files from the Other section of the NCTS website’s Access tab, after logging in. Please contact the NCTS should you require further information.
Where can I find technical guides and other resources?
All SNOMED CT‑AU and AMT documentation, including technical and implementation guides, is freely available for download from the NCTS Document Library without registering or logging in. However, if you are a registered user we recommend that you log in before downloading any material so that we can better target our communications to you, based on the resources that you have downloaded
Terminology browsers
Shrimp[3] is available online at https://ontoserver.csiro.au/shrimp. Search both SNOMED CT‑AU and AMT content, or browse the hierarchies by selecting the latest version of “SNOMED Clinical Terms Australian Extension” in the drop-down menu.
