SNOMED CT-AU and Australian Medicines Terminology September 2021 Release

The National Clinical Terminology Service (NCTS) is pleased to announce that the September combined release of SNOMED CT®-AU and the Australian Medicines Terminology (AMT) is now available to registered users from the NCTS website.

Events

SNOMED CT Expo 2021

This year the conference will be held as a virtual event on October 28-29. The SNOMED CT Expo unites clinical terminology subject matter experts, health IT professionals, health practitioners, researchers, academics and vendors from around the world. The program categories include:

  • Demonstrating implementation excellence
  • Enhancing clinical practice
  • Terminology leading practices
  • Education workshops and tutorials

The program begins on October 28-29 at 4.30pm (AEDT) however presentations will be made available on-demand after the session concludes for those unable to attend the live event.

Important Information

This release provides new Australian Medicines Terminology (AMT) concepts for Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine, Spikevax, as provisionally approved by the TGA. The new Preferred Terms concepts are as follows:

SNOMED CT-AU inclusive of the Australian Medicines Terminology is updated monthly and is available to download for free to registered license holders. To register for an account please go to the registration page.
