Hide your record from healthcare organisations

Choose one of the following options:

  • Do not hide your record - healthcare provider systems will automatically search for your record and notify healthcare providers that you have a record. Healthcare providers will be able view your record and documents in it in accordance with your Healthcare Provider Organisation Access settings.
  • Hide your record - healthcare provider systems will not automatically search for your record and notify healthcare providers that you have a record, however healthcare providers will still be able manually search for record. Healthcare providers will be able to view your record and documents in it in accordance with your Healthcare Provider Organisation Access settings. Healthcare providers will not be able to upload documents to your record.

How to hide or not hide your record

  1. Sign in to My Health Record:


     
  2. Select My Health Record from your list of ‘Linked serives’
  3. From your My Health Record welcome page, select the record you want to access
  4. Click the Privacy & Access tab in the top navigation menu.
  5. Select My Healthcare Organisation Access page from the drop-down list.
  6. Scroll to the bottom of the page to ‘All other Healthcare Organisations’
  7. Click on advance settings and make your choice
