Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) and Repatriation Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (RPBS) data

PBS or RPBS records are added when a pharmacy’s claim has been successfully finalised by Services Australia.

The ‘date of supply’ on the PBS or RPBS record is the date the pharmacist dispensed the medicine.

The following prescriptions dispensed by the pharmacist approved supplier will not be captured on your record:

  • prescriptions not listed on the PBS/RPBS, or ‘private’ prescriptions
  • prescriptions dispensed in a public hospital for inpatients
  • prescriptions supplied under Section 100 Special Arrangements in the National Health Act 1953, e.g. supplies through an Aboriginal Health Service (AHS), IVF/GIFT Program, Botulinum Toxin Program
  • PBS prescriptions priced under the patient co-payment amount prior to 1 April 2012.

There may be a delay before your PBS/RPBS information appears in your record.
